Obituary for Eugene Anthony Pordon

Stockholm, NJ: Eugene Anthony Pordon, 95 years old, died after a short illness at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Fredon Twp., NJ on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Born to August and Theresa Pordon in Clifton, NJ, he lived in North Haledon and Toms River NJ before moving to Sussex county several years ago.

Eugene served with the United States Navy during WWII and then worked as a carpenter for 45 years, starting with the New Jersey Carpenters Union, Passaic County, NJ, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Italian American Social Club, the Senior Citizens of Beechwood, the Holiday City and Holiday City South Men’s Clubs, the Holiday City South Mens 400 Club, the Holiday City Pairs and Squares and enjoyed bowling, fishing and doing carpentry projects for family and friends.

Eugene is predeceased by his wife, Jennie Pordon(2003) and is the devoted father of Bradley Pordon and his wife, Peggy of Stockholm, NJ and Ronald Pordon and his wife, Elizabeth of West Milford, NJ. Loving grandfather of Heather, Brian, Dana, Ashley and Matthew. Great grandfather of Claire, Luke, Makenzie, Aubrey, Austin, Jaxson and Declan.

Services will be at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the mausoleum. Entombment to follow.
